PLANTING A GARDEN

Mrs. Johnston's class has been learning about farming and the garden. We decided to take advantage of a beautiful day and spend the time planting a garden. The children learned how to prepare the soil, plant the seeds, and care for the seeds. Here are some pictures of our wonderful day!

We are sideways!

Planting a garden was so much fun!

First we prepared the soil.
We got the dirt nice and loose so that our seeds will be able to grow.
The children enjoyed digging in the dirt and getting nice and dirty.
Lets get dirty!
We got all of the rocks, sticks, and garbage out of the dirt.
Look! I think that I found something! We found many treasures while digging up our soil. We found marbles, pennies, and other lost treasures.
We had many helpers...

LOOK!

I found a worm. I was careful not to hurt it because they are good for the soil and plants.

We had fun goofing around as well.

A cool potatoe bug.
